All, we have a custom made attribute in nx7.5/TC8.3.3 called checked out, it is of the type string. Now we're moving to nx8.5/TC8.3.3 and this attrib is preventing us to save files with following error ;

+++ An attempt is made to use inconsistent attribute types for attr and desc for attribute CHECKED_OUT.

Why do we get this error; is it save to change the type of this attribute and what should the type be?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Michaël.

Perhaps you defined a preserved name. If you check the Best Practice of BMIDE you should always use a Prefix for your Custom Attributes, like AB5_CHECKED_OUT
