Inventor7 sketch mode

I am new to cad and trying to learn Invetor7 as I believe it can help out in the FAB Shop. My problem is while in sketch mode when I try to use General Dimension it covers the part with a blank screen almost like pulling a curtain over the part. I have done the Tutorials to the letter and set up like they ask . I do not have proplems in other areas, please advise green user thanks.

Sounds like you have a video card issue. What video card are you using?

Thank you for your reply Iwas able to resolve the Video card problem on my laptop. I would love advice on hardware selection witch I will start on a new thread
