Inverted T & L Beam Sizes

I've noticed that some precasters use Inverted T's & Inverted L beams that are not standard PCI picks. For example 30IT40 & 30L42. In addtional they use a "secondary field pour" on top and place the threaded bars in this area for the moment connections. Is this acceptable?

Any help would be well appreciated.
