Hi,
I’m looking to calculate the lifting capacity or stresses acting on a T-nut (inverted t beam) see attached pic.
The pull force acting on the T shown as P is 5000 lbf. The length and width of T nut is 2 inch. The T nut is fit in the slot and can slide across, Fx and Fy can act as fixed supports.
Now how to calculate the stresses,
Shear, bending and deflection
