Investigations in landfills

Hi,
Has anyone come across LITERATURE on the geotechnical investigations that may be conducted in a capped landfill. I am aware that there are certain precautions that are needed; any sould and recent litarature would certainly help.

i know a book named "waste containment facilities" by, D. E. Daniel , and R. M. Koernor published by ASCE 1995. other books from the above authors may be usefull.

Search for both those authors' papers in ASCE journals, too. I think it's spelled Koerner, though. Dave Daniel is at the University of Illinois - Urbana campus. He'd make a good consultant if you need one...
