Hi All,

I'm not sure whether this is a Windows problem or an Inventor one. I have well over a five hundred parts now created for our products with many more to follow.

In the iProperties box under Summary I fill in Title, Author etc and under Project I fill in various other boxes.

When I go to open a file I cannot see any of this information showing up in the Open File box. Yes I have the Title and Description headings switched on but nothing is displayed under them. It would make life a lot easier when searching for a part, to see either of these and quickly run through the list.

Windows thing. Many users have been asking for iproperty information to show up in the columns in Windows explorer too. Don't think Microsoft wants to allow that.
I don't use Vault but would expect this issue is handled much better in there. Do you use Vault?

Hi mcgyvr,

Yes, Windows is like this. They hate to think that if they are not incontrol of things then they won't allow it.

No I don't use vault, but if there's a chance that it would operate better this way I'm prepared to look at it.
