I am looking for a circuit with a irf mosfet (something like an irf2804 w/IR20153) and driver to take a ttl logic pulse and convert to 28vdc pulse to drive a 248 Ohm coil on an event counter. Any ideas? Thanks!

If I don't ask, someone else will. Is there any reason why you want to use a FET rather than a transistor. The application isn't fast or high current

Your question is like.....
"I need a car like a Porche 914T. Got any suggestions?"

I do not understand why you need help. ?

Use the IRF2804 it will work fine. You shouldn't need anything else. Hook it up exactly like figure 18a on IRF's data sheet. Replace Rd with your event timer coil. Run a 100kOhm from Vgs to ground just to be sure no leakage turns it on. Ta da!
