Is ASTM equivalent to ISO/EN 1993-2

Hello guys,

I have a question.
The company I am currently working for wants to purchase bituminous waterproofing membrane for hidroizolation however the following requirements are mandatory:
- ASTM D1894 or ASTM D5321 - Coefficient of static friction between sliding surfaces must be equal or above 0,5
- ASTM D543 - Chloride and Sulfate resistance should show no significant difference
I have found the materials we are looking for that meet the other requirements however there are no mentions regarding these. The company is following ASTM normative however the materials follow the European normative. Are the normative similar or equivalent? They will go forward with the purchase only if the normatives are equivalent.

Since such specification form the basis of your contract, I would suggest that you purchase and read the relevant specifications.
There is no short cut for this unless ASTM or ISO actually states that the specifications are equivalent.
