Is CRS1018 same as SPCC?

All,
Is calling out SPCC on my drawing same as CRS1018? They are both cold rolled steel right? So is CRS 1018 more specific compared to SPCC?

Could some one help me to exactly differentiate between these material call outs?

CRS 1018 and SPCC do not mean anything without the proper context, meaning reference to an official standard. 1018 is a chemical composition listed in many standards such as SAE J403, ASTM A 29, ASTM A 513, ASTM A 108, etc. 1018 is commonly available as cold-drawn bars, which are covered by ASTM A 108. It is not commonly available as cold-rolled sheet, which is covered by ASTM A 1008, etc. 1018 only defines a chemical composition unless you reference a product standard such as ASTM A 108, A 513, etc.

SPCC is a grade designated in the Japanese standard JIS G 3141 Cold-reduced carbon steel sheets and strip. It has a chemical composition considerably different from grade 1018. Obviously these two steels are not equivalent.
