Hello,
I am not certain if this is best in this structural forum, seismic formum, or geotech forum, so I apologize in advance for this placement.

I am trying to interpret a geotechnical report from a few years ago at a mine site in SE Asia. We are designing using IBC and ASCE 7 codes. This site specific report is several years old and going back to the geotech firm in Australia at this point is something I can avoid if I simply understand the interpretation of the report.

The report provides Ss, S1, and period (TL) along with the site class for several of our above ground locations. When going underground into rock, it gives none of this. It provides "Spectral Accelerations (g) at Selected Spectral Periods". As the spectral period increases from 0.02 to 10 seconds, a different value is provided in the table. It also provides different values based on the depth below ground surface. (If it matters, there is a footnote that says this only applies to structures with a natural period less than or equal to 0.5 seconds.)

Can anyone confidently say that "spectral accelerations" is the same as ASCE 7 value Sa? Is this the typical type of output I should expect from a site specific report in hard rock?

Thanks in advance for any input.
