Is HIC test applicable for low alloy CrMo plates? 1

Dear all,

my question today is if HIC test (as described in NACE 284) is applicable for low alloy CrMo steel plates and for Pressure vessels in wet H2S service. Or is it only applicable for Carbon steel (C-Mn) plates? What about fittings?

Yes, it applicable to Cr-Mo steels. It is applicable to any kind of part.

the NACE /ISO part 2 is applicable to Carbon and Low Alloy Steel. see para 8.
