Is is possible???

I have a very complex 3 D part. Is is possible to project it on a surface to get sketch in a any plane and then create a sketch of say 1 mm offset from the original part.

I basically want to trim the part by 1 mm.

what about thickness feature on your solide with a -1mm value ?

you can select all faces of the solide by searching (CTRL + F) face then select the thickness in PartDesing
