Is it possible to develop an equation for BAFs

Hi guys,

I wonder if it is possible to develop an equation for contaminants removal rate for the biological aerated filters without having to do the experiment? I'm not quite sure if anyone has done that before (they may have), however, it'll be useful to have that sort of information (mathematical equation).
