TJA - are these the same versions of Pro/E ie 2001, WF2 or WF3 but different build numbers? I would say you are safe but I would find out what the differences are between the two builds.....making sure their are no major chances.

There usually is no problem with using different builds of the same version, but somethings might surprise you. In WF2, there was a bug with sheetmetal flanges that was fixed in M110. So going back to an older version you would get the old behavior.
The advisor is a good place to start if you are seeing problems.
I have users on 4 builds of WF2, as I try to bring everyone up to newer builds.

You should always stick to the same datecode. I have found that there ARE usually problems when mixing datecodes. Typically on large models, regeneration will fail.
Stick with the same datecode if possible. It will save you much headache and pain.
