Working with Nx 6 with the advanced simulation, is possible to calculate de Cd?
By solving the solution I obtain a graphic over my surface call pressure +ve, this seems to be the pressure that I need to calculate, but how can I know the normal vector to proyect, integrate and then get the value of the Cd??
Is there a button for that??

Thanks

There are two ways to recuperate the drag forces.

First, one can use the .log file created with the solution. There is a table at the end of this file summing up both the pressure and shear forces in the x-y-z directions. This data can be used to calculate the drag (and other aero) coefficients. The drag coefficient calc is : Cd = Fd / q*Sref where q is the dynamic pressure, 0.5*rho*V^2.

The second, more elegant option, is to use the Lift & Drag Report available in the NX Flow environment. This is available in the Simulation Objects. For this option the user enters the relevant data and the report outputs the aerodynamic coefficients in an html-based report.
