Is SpaceX's Raptor engine the king of rocket engines?

This is a very well made video comparing the currently available liquid rocket engines and explaining their operation. 49 minutes.

I did some comparisons a few years ago: thread31-400989
An update with the Raptor engine would be timely.

SpaceX seems to be choosing propulsion systems that are mid-way on the performance/cost curve. Unlike NASA and ESA, the point is to minimize the cost. Also unlike the gov't space agencies, they do not need to achieve 99% of all potential future mission objectives that can be imagined by a committee of bureaucrats, scientists and generals. Instead, SpaceX can choose preferred customers, building a rocket to suit a core business model.

Thanks for the video link.
