I am wondering one thing with my project in those days, as I had not got enough design experiences,I had check some material home and abroad, but had not got it, My question, maybe trouble is that, the contactor of LNG facilities is not very flexible.especially the bottom space is only 2.4 meters.the liquid at bottom of column resisdence time is only about 1 min,I am wondering if there is some latent problem for contactor after the processing is running.(recycle volume ranges from 50m3 to 80 m3)

Diameter of column is about 1.4meter,operating pressure is about 4.5Mpa.

There may be some experiance derived reason for a 1 minute surge time in an absorber, but I'm more inclinded to go at least 3 minutes to assure you do not get non equalibrium gases built up in the rich stream.

Perhaps that is the goal to have ithe rich fluid "out of equalibrium".
