Hi,

Using NX1899. I was looking for a tool to export point cloud data from NX to Excel sheet. I want to see the X Y and Z coordinates.

Similarly Can we also have a import point cloud data into NX with adding a tag of X1,Y1,Z1 to the points which gets imported. tagging can be an option in the dialogbox.

Any help is very apprecaited.

Any thoughts here?

I saw some grip programs. But they are not giving me the result Iam looking for. Anyone interested in sharing any journal file or macro file for this?

The term point cloud is often used on clouds with several million points, most often scan data, i have a few clouds that contain more than 3 million points.
is this what you want to handle in Excel ? or name-tag in NX ?

What is the purpose?

Regards,
Tomas

Hi Toost,

Iam talking like approx 2000 points. We want to copy the points out from NX and into Excel sheet to do some investigations.
