NX6.0.3
For assemblies with large numbers of repeated components (such as fasteners, etc), it's often helpful to simplify the Assembly Navigator tree by right clicking on a repeated component, and selecting "Pack".
However, if you close the assembly and then re-open, the ANT is un-packed. I'm pretty sure there's no way to "save" the packed or un-packed configuration. But, I'm wondering if there could be a way to write a macro or some other method such that upon invoking this custom command, all "pack-able" components would be packed in the assembly tree? This would make a quick way to rapidly clean up the assembly tree.
It'd be useful to create a custom command like this (and ideally assign it to an icon or something similar, so it's easy to run when desired). Unfortunately, I'm not sure where to start on this, so it'd be great to hear from some more skilled NX automation experts.
Thanks.
