The "groups" of which I am aware:
1) This one--generally good all-around, if you can get an answer.
2) Yahoo e-groups ABAQUS group. Some VERY bright people, some not so bright people. Limited moderation, and as a result some significant errors occassionaly are made and propogated. (when similar errors are made on eng-tips, they generally get removed due to better moderation). One distinction of yahoo's group is that students are allowed and encouraged.
3) ABAQUS website--searchable database exists (fairly new) which is open to ABAQUS customers.
4) ABAQUS support--granted, not a chatroom, but if you're paying for support you can often get questions answered fairly quickly.
Of course 3 & 4 are "endorsed" by ABAQUS. 1 and 2 are not endorsed by ABAQUS, but both acknowledge that some ABAQUS employees do pay attention to the sites.
