Hi ,

Using NX12.

While Sectioning assembly in Modeling >> view >>Edit Section . Is there a way I can exclude components which i do not want to section? I know I can do this in Drafting. I tried to set the property Section _ component to No. But it only affects in Drafting.

If you have the 3D PMI license you can us the section view, and get what you are after. This is a work around for what you are asking for though.

One workaround would be to use the "Assembly Cut" from the "combine" menu.

On your Assembly parent level you create a solid according the shape you want to cut.
With the Assembly Cut" feature you can then select that solid to cut out a section from the components you need to be sectioned.
