Wondering if anyone has seen a wood I-joist like this. The building was built in 1988.

I've asked RedBuilt as it seems similar to their 28" Red-I90HS. Hopefully they reply tomorrow.

This is in a warehouse in Stockton, CA. 40' x 40' bays. These span 40' and are spaced at 8'-0" o.c. I appreciate it very much, thanks in advance! - CAL

That stamp looks like it is for the web material only. I do not think it denotes the I-joist information.

Could be a Standard Structures Inc. SSI Purlin

long span and spacing for wood.

Rather than think climate change and the corona virus as science, think of it as the wrath of God. Feel any better?

I-joist designations and markings by Trus Joist & Redbuilt are nearly always located printed on the bottom flange of the joist. Hard to tell from the photo, but are the flanges solid sawn wood, or LVL? If solid sawn, this is not a Redbuilt product. Can you view the bottom of the bottom flange? If this second flange is screwed to the inner bottom flange, its very likely that this is a field built assembly. This construction method is called a "flange cap" and does not increase the joist design capacity (due to incomplete bond line), but is intended to help stiffen the joist for perceived floor performance.

I agree with dik about the spans and joist spacing, 40'x8' is a lot of loading for a 28" joist.
