Sometimes my SW2003 crashes and I have to reboot the computer. When I try to reload the file(s) I had open before the crash I get the message that the files are in used by myself. After deleting the "~" files I get:

"... is used by another user. Do you want to open a copy?".

Is there a work around it?

Give this a try:
Say Yes. The save, SolidWorks will ask if you want to overwrite the file. Say Yes. I do not know why this happens. I have not seen this since upgrading to SolidWorks 2003 SP3.

Try upgrading to SP5.1 of SW03 and see if you still get this?
