Folks,
I am seeing instances on P&ID's where people are using "UT" to, I think, represent a multivariable transmitter. For example Honeywell SMA125 provides MV transmitter that requires a temperature input and it outputs flow, pressure, temperature and compensated flow. This seems like a reasonable use of "UT". However, according to ISA-5.1-2009, UT is not allowed.
How would you represent this arrangement?
Also, how do you recommend a flow computer be shown? Assuming there are flow, pressure and temperature transmitters on the line, would these instruments connect to an FQI (which would be the actual flow computer) that would in turn output to an FQI in a DCS symbol?
