ISO 11114-1:2020 Section 6.2 has the following statement:

"For gas mixtures containing gases causing embrittlement the risk of hydrogen embrittlement only occurs if the partial pressure of the gas is greater than 5 MPa (50 bar) and the stress level of the cylinder material is high enough."

This standard is for gas cylinders & valves while my application is process piping, fittings and valves (100% hydrogen, room temperature). Can I really ignore the risk of hydrogen embrittlement at pressures below 50 bar? Some of the materials in the valve are cold worked carbon steel and high strength alloy steel.

Thanks!
