ISO 4156 (splines) information

I'm trying to find a comprehensive specification on metric straight splines. I'm looking for dimensions and tolerances for splines to specify on drawings for driveshaft axles that we need to manufacture. Is anyone familiar with the ISO 4156 standards? It looks to me like the 4156-2 standard has the info I need. Can someone comfirm or deny this for me?

Also, is there a source for this info anywhere else? It looks like the spec is approx $250 from ISO.

ISO 4156 (-1, -2 & -3) is the comprehensive metric spline specification you want.

ISO 4156-2 is 188 pages and available for CHF 244 from ISO and USD 249 from Global/IHS. That is a reasonable price. I suspect this price is miniscule compared to the total costs you will have for specifying, manufacturing and selling your parts.

Cory is right as usually.
But don't you also see how the data in part 2 are calculated and why? Or how to inspect the splines when they are done? Those are the topics covered in part 1 (they call it Generalities) and part 3 (Inspection).
I highly recommend all 3 parts if you can afford it. You can learn a lot there.
