Hello,

How common are the ISO welding codes in the U.S? Most of the Q & A's here seems to be related to ASME or AWS in one way or the other.

A welding company delivering goods to the offshore sector in Europe will normally be required to be certified according to ISO 9001 & ISO 3834-2, how common is this in the U.S.?

Also, are welding engineers required to be certified under the American codes? Normally ISO codes will call for a qualification at international level (IWE, IWT or IWS) or an acceptable national equivalent.

ISO 9001 only qualifies the Quality Management System of the company, not the quality of the welding.
