Hello Group,
We have isolation transformers installed in our OR, ICU, and recovery area. Lately, we started facing problems like flickering in our equipment, power tripping of the eqiupment, or equipment hanging. The most affected equipment are patient monitors( we have all GE maequette monitors). We checked main power supply and almost all individual equipment. The failure happens very seldom, so we cannot simulate or expect at any particular moment.
We checked main power supply, grounding, and even performed a load test in our generator(the emergency supply) power. When I checked the supply output from isolation transformer, the voltage between L1-L2: approximatly 115V, L1-Ground: 62V, and L2-Ground: 60V. Almost, all the isolation transformer are giving the same measurements. I would like to know if these readings are normal with isolation transformer. Is it differ from normal power outlet which provides Hot(live) to Gnd 120 and Nutral-GND 0V.
