Looking for SPECIFIC information related to the isolator
design of hard disks located inside a metal chassis. Any information pertaining to the following areas is requested and appreciated.

1) Guidelines for vibration and shock loads that are to be considered to design an isolator system for the hard disk.

2) Guidelines for specifically designing the isolator systems, relative to the shock and vibration loads/characteristics.

3) Design of hard disk relative to the vibration frequencies of the metal case/chassis in which the hard disk is located.

4) Any relevant references/publications (white paper, application notes, etc.)

Thank you for sharing the information.

There are several concerns with repect to mounting a hard drive with isolators. One is that the isolation frequency might interfere with the control algorithm for the actuator arm with its read/write heads.

I have several papers on this subject, although they are from the 1990s.

Send me an Email if you would like the papers.

Thank you for the response. Glad to know that there are
several papers that address the topic of hard drive mounting and related areas.

Please send me the papers on the topic.
