Hi.
I have a drawing with an isometric view of a part exported to a dxf file, my problem is when i open this file with autocad and try to measure, the dimensions are less than real.
Anybody knows what´s happen?

The iso view in SW is 3D, the DXF in ACAD is 2D. You can not measure the 3D space in the DXF 2D space.

The fact that Isometric views do not show true dimension isn't a problem with SolidWorks or AutoCAD, it's the space-time continuum itself. This is the reason all flat maps have changing scales either along the latitude or longitude.

Isometric view is a distortion of a 3D object expressed as a 2D image. There's old board drafting rules for creating these views. SolidWorks provides usefulness to this type of view by handling the object it in 3D while showing it in 2D. However, it is still just a projection (either on the paper or on the screen). If you took a ruler to your screen against an isometric view, what would your results be? Well, you'd get something similar to what your DXF is giving you. :)

I feel its better to annotate this using a dimension on a annotation plane and export that view with all these info.
