Issue Applying Knowledge Template

This is happens very inconsistently, but when trying to use a knowledge template, I have to choose the reference geometry so the model can be built and herein lies the issue. I can "highlight"/mouseover the geometry I need, but when I click to select, they are not selected and used to generate my model. Any ideas??

CPosner - when catia starts to be inconsistent, save and exit. No need to reboot, just restart catia. Even with "Dassault certified" hardware.
