I am looking at starting to put together my IStructE portfolio and was hoping some UK based chartered structural engineers would be able to help.
Core objective No. 2 is Communication, and the IPD guidance suggests including formal reports as a source of evidence for this. Given that the total page limit is 300, what could be considered “enough” evidence?
For example, could a short extract with a couple of pages from a good technical report be a sufficient example? If so, how would you give context to this if it was taken from the middle of a report and there was no title page included?
Additionally, I have some sketches that I would like to include that I sent to a colleague to show the steps in constructing a connection detail. How can I give context to this in the portfolio?
Any help would be much appreciated.
