Italian Refrigeration Units 1

I need some help here: Talking to an Italian brewer, he mentioned that his small plant has 500,000 "refrigeri" (or something like that) in refrigeration capacity. He did not know how much this would be in BTU, kJ or kWh and I surely don't either. Is there anybody out there who has heard about this uniquely Italian way of measuring refrigeration
capacity?
I am not sure about the exact word he used, it just sounded like that.
I appreciate any hint.

Dear Pkoestler,

The refrigeration technical units used in Italy is the "Frigorie/ora" or Frig/h.

Conversions of units are easy because 1 Frig = 1 kcal = 4,187 kJ.

The units are now largely superseeded by IS.

Frigorie units are used by old operators and maintenance people.

Long time no see. Though I know about Frig/Hr from an Italian Compressed Air Dryer manufacturer, it is a nice information about 1 Frig = 1 kCal.
