Iterative/conditional loading condtion in Abaqus 1

Hi,

I am modeling a steel girder bridge and I would like to assess the effect of an increasing damage level on the remaining load-carrying capacity. Therefore, I want to increase the live load for each damage case until reaching the maximum deflection/ stresses for each damage model.
Is there a way to set conditions and conduct an iterative analysis until the conditions are satisfied? And how can output the load that satisfies the preset conditions?

Are you using Abaqus/Standard or Explicit ? There are special tools that allow you to monitor outputs and terminate analyses based on their extreme vales in the latter solver.

It is standard I think.

Indeed, in Standard you can use the XIT utility routine accessed from within any subroutine to terminate the analysis based on a user-defined criterion.
