Hi everybody,

I am modelling a crack in a 3D model in abaqus. I would like to compute the J integral along the crack front with the abaqus built in feature. The crack is between two different part instances in the assembly. My issue is that abaqus takes the contours to calculate the J integral only on one of my part instances disregarding the other......do you have any tips? thanks.

Do you need these two regions to be separate parts for some reason ? Because if it’s not a problem, you could just merge them using the Merge/Cut Instances tool available in Assembly module.
