Dear fellow engineers,
Please enlighten with the standard practice for a Jack up Rig move IN /OUT to a producing offshore platform.
Is it a standard practice to shut-in all the production including the wells & depressurise the pipelines while the Rig moves IN or OUT of the platform???
OR Will it suffice to shut-in the adjoining wells around the drilling candidate/well??
What other precautions need to be taken on the top deck??
many Thanks.

Due to the risk associated with lifting or skidding large, heavy equipment, all wells, piping and equipment under the derrick is normally shut in and depressured during rigging up and down.
