jaws of life

Hello all,

This question is out of curiosity more than anything..

just curious on what material the blades are made from on tools like the jaws of life..

looks like it would have to be a tool steel..but i guess it could be a high nickel grade alloy steel that perhaps could be carburized for wear resistance while still having a tough core..

just curious...
