Good day everyone,
I am hoping someone may be able to point me in the direction of some useful information regarding jet pumps. I am looking to design and manufacture a jet pump for the purpose of filling a container in an EFI fuel system. Below I have listed my objectives and the design variables I would like to analyse by varying the jet pump dimensions.
The maximum pressure head the jet pump must work against is 2kPa (gauge).
The jet pump is to be powered by the return volume from the engine. Consider that the outflow from the container will be 340l/hr and that the inflow is the combined volume of the return line and the add volume of the jet pump. The return line volume is equal to (340l/hr - ( the consumption % x 340l/h)).
Ideally I'd like to calculate the time taken for the container to empty as a function of the consumption percentage for a fixed pump.
Specific weight of the fluid - 5.1993 kN/m3
Max lift height - less than 0.4m
Thank you for your assistance, I have never dealt with Jet Pump design and am in need of some direction.
