A sad day - people who really understand analogue electronics are rare. Jim Williams was one of the few. I love the photo of his bench - I am a little envious! [smile]

If we learn from our mistakes I'm getting a great education!

I met Jim in person a couple of times. I still have his EDN articles collected in a binder. He was fun, surprising and very very good. I am truly sorry. Too early for him to go.

Half full - Half empty? I don't mind. It's what in it that counts.

More sad news

Bob Pease was killed in a car accident while driving home from Jim William's funeral service yesterday.

Too shocked to say anything more. We have lost two great guys in a very short time.

Luckily he didn't post in ET as he probably would have been red-flagged as a non-engineer. :-D

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

Au point! Artisi. Touché!
