I have a Japanese hydraulic pump that has an unknown input spline size. I have searched though the ISO 4156:2005(E) & ANSI B92.2M-1980 standards yet have not been able to locate the proper dimensions. I am starting to think that it is a JIS spec shaft. Does anyone have access to a copy of JIS standards they could possibly verify this for me.
17 teeth
47mm major diameter
Approximately 41.25mm minor diameter

Thanks for you time.

You are correct.
This is a spline to the JIS-D-2001-1995 standard.
Generally used in the automotive industry.
Note that this standard has a rack profile of 20 degrees pressure angle...........not 30 degrees which is commonly used for splines.

Hey thanks for that conformation, I am going to have to evaluate my next plan of action. Thanks for your help!

Gearcutter,

Is there any chance that I could get the profile dimensions of that gear from you? I might have to have a custom adapter cut.

Thanks,
