Job runing while programe is not responding

Sometimes the program is not responding (probably because of memory as many programes are runing) while ABAQUS job is runing so I have to close the programe and reopen it. I can see the Job Status: Runing. However When I go to the job Monitor, I cannot see the bar of Iterations moving. Should I terminate the job and restart again .How can I retrive the Job Monitoring

If you shutdown /CAE then the job will still continue running. Look in task manager and you'll see standard.exe or explicit.exe still there. You won't automatically be able to monitor the job though, even if you restart /CAE. The best way is to use the old fashioned technique (tail -f Job-1.sta) or some equivalent command.

How can I know if the job is completed or aborted. and if aborted ..how can I see the error/ warning message or at least know at where it is aborted

You can look in the .sta and .log files that ABAQUS creates during the analysis run. These are located in the working directory.
