Joining Silicone and Latex 1

I'm working on the design of a new style of SCUBA diving mask/helmet. I'd like to know if there is a good way to join latex and silicone. If possible I'd like to weld it, but I know that I might need to glue if I use those two materials - so any info is appreciated. Information on where to find helpful tips on joining silicone and latex would also be of help.

"Nothing sticks to silicone"

Sometimes you can get 100% silicone caulking to stick to it, you can sometimes get uncured silicone to stick to cured silicone. But you can't really count on it. If you can get a mechanical bond (i.e., grooves), it might work.

There is apparently a new product that glues silicone to silicone, that might be helpful....

Try Loctite 406 by Prism.I have never tried it on latex or silicone but it might be worth a try.I have used it on most other plastics,nylons,rubber,neoprene & elastics with great success.Your diving helmet sounds pretty excitng,would you be using an existing but modified fibre glass helmet married to a silicone mask with a full face mask of latex.
Do you need a neckseal?(i.e.is it wet or dry inside)
Would your design lend itself to use with a rebreather mouthpiece?

Thanks for the information! Unfortunately I cannot tell you too much about the design of the diving helmet. As much as I would like to hear your opinions on it, I have signed a confidentiality agreement. I can tell you though, that it will use a neckseal and will not require a mouthpiece.
