Hi! I'm new to this forum, so I'm not certain where to post this but I'm hoping that maybe someone will come across this and can help.
I'm currently doing my master thesis in engineering and I'm modelling a cable stayed bridge in SAP2000. My question is about joint constraints. The towers are supposed to be fixed to the deck and the piers are supposed to be pinned to the deck joint. So, I disconnected the joint into four nodes, merged the deck joint into one (so now I have 3 joints) and created two constraints. One for the tower to deck and one for the pier to deck. My question is can I assign the deck joint two constraints or will they overlap somehow?
Are body constraints like node couplings?
Thanks
