Following a kerosene spill (approx. half a tank - ?500 litres)a few months ago, we noticed that our well water was smelling and tasting of diesel. Our well and surrounding area is under concrete, so we can't dig up the surrounding soil.
Is there any inexpensive solution to our problem?

Check your environmental regulations. There was likely a need to report such a spill. If so, you may be in violation of some law, which would affect recourse from your homeowner's insurance. Have you called your insurance company?

There is no simple solution. Thankfully you are not dealing with a chronic condition (i.e., a tank that's been leaking for years). Natural biota will do some "cleanup," but it may take some time an you may get tired of waiting.
