Keyboard Font Problem 1

I had to reinstall Autocad 2002LT on my home computer (hard drive went south) and now when I type in some text, I get a variation of the font (Cap Lock on).

For example, if I type in 1/2", the mtext produced would be 1, (E with an accent), 2, (e with an opposite sloped accent).

any suggestions about how to fix this?
