Hello,

My question is about a requirement of our customer, for a killed steel supplying according to ASTM 216WCB.
What do you think about this requirement?
How could we say that ASTM A216WCB is a killed steel?
Thank you for your help

Killed steel is, what it is, the addition of Si or Al to avoid outgassing of ingots during solidification. Review the ASTM/ASME A/SA 216 specification requirements, since these castings contain Si, they are considered to be killed steel.
