KSB Boiler Feed Pumps - Fire Protection

Hi,
Does anyone recommend a fire protection system for a boiler feed pump? Not a code requirement, however, the facility management is asking to provide a fire protection system within its enclosure. The boiler feed pumps were enclosed for soundproofing due to the high noise produced from the pumps.

How large is the enclosure? Sprinkler protection would be my 1st choice just make sure you determine max temperature for the enclosure for sprinkler temperature. Now my insurance hat, shut down fuel supply upon sprinkler activation. Sprinkler do not do well on 3 dimensional fires hence the shut down.

How hot does it get within the enclosure when these gear driven pump(s)are running ?

IMO, there is no any fire scenario or issue around the BFW pump, which is normally with the lube oil or mist oil for the pump bearings only.
If it's really wanted by the Owner and AHJ, Is it possible to use a fire monitor in the nearby area to cover for the BFW pump, or add a fire extinguisher for a fire safety.
