Is there any simple way to decrease the amount of sludge in a small lagoon/pond. I've had folks tell me fish and different types of enzymes. Does anyone have any opinion?

You probably are not going to see any significant reduction if the material has already undergone initial biological treatment and is sitting on the bottom of the lagoon.

An aerobic digester that is completely mixed will have a 40-50% reduction in volatile solids. Since you have no mixing, you will not see that kind of reduction.

Also; this primary lagoon has an underground aeration system. With a slope of approx. 5 to 9 ft. 1.5 surface area acre.Built about 22yrs ago.

Well, if the sludge has gone through extended aeration already, you won't see much more reduction through oxidation. Lagoons need to be dredged from time to time, that's the reality of it...
