Laminate composite joint modeling + analysis

I'm new to composite modeling and recently I have a task to create a laminate composite model in Patran.

What is the best way to create joint? In metallic part, I can use RBE2 element to connect the nodes around the fastener hole, but for laminate, is the same method still apply?

Also, all suggestions/reference materials/trainings regarding composite will be appreciated. Thanks
