I am a fresh graduate from University hired by a land development firm. I was wondering if you guys/girls could recommend me some good land development or transportation books that you use as references for design and construction.

For land development try: Land Development Handbook, Planning, Engineering and Surveying by Dewberry & Davis, published by McGraw-Hill, ISBN: 0-07-016644-7;
For Transportation try Route Surveying and Design by Carl F. Meyer published by International Textbook Company ISBN: 7002-2180-5; also see FHWA web site for transportation reference material.

If you have more specific topics rather than the broad and general catagories of land development and transportation myself and others may be able to pinpoint something appropriate.
